DESIGN PROCESS

1) PHASE 1:  Onsite Consultation

Discuss your needs, take an inventory of your existing plants/etc,  take pictures and measurements, obtain soil samples if needed, and review the fees/next steps in the process)  Before we meet I will send you a brief questionnaire to help get you thinking about what you want.

2) PHASE 2: Site Preparation

Complete clean up, plant removal and other maintenance that might need to be done before we proceed.  This also allows for us to get to know each other a little better and for me to get more aquianted with all of the aspects of your yard (sunlight patterns, soil structure, design elements, etc)

3) PHASE 3:  Design and Plant Research

I will prepare a drawing that will outline plant placement and other design elements along with a list of reccomeneded plants/materials etc.   During this time we may have 1-2 (Either phone, video or in person) consultations to review and revise.

4) PHASE 4:  Installation

This part can be either done all at once or in some cases clients prefer to do it in phases - Perhaps doing all of the perennials in the spring, trees/shrubs in late fall and hardscape in the summer.   We are very flexible with this aspect of the process-in fact (especially if you are new to the home) we encourage it - as it allows for the process to flow more organically.  Like a painting - it's a creative process and we like to allow room for improvisation when ever possible.

EDUCATION

Educating our clients is very important to us and our mission of connecting people with nature.  We have an entire library of  offerings including educational booklets on everything from  invasive pests to be on the lookout for to how to attract more birds to your yard-all of which we offer freely to our clients.

I also attend 4 to 12 Educational seminars, annually,  to keep up to date on all of latest advances in Horticulture and related areas of practice.

We believe that this helps us to provide you with the best plants/materials that will be installed correctly and last you for many years to come.
